The leader of a group that's been holding vigils outside the home of missing baby Lisa Irwin’s parents regularly since her October 4 disappearance told WDAF it was “disappointing” and “heartbreaking” that the family has asked them to leave.
The group calling themselves “Lisa’s Angels” had their last vigil outside the Kansas City, Missouri, house Tuesday night. Leader Edith Fine-Duskin told KSHB that they will continue to hold the events elsewhere.
Reuters reported that attorneys for parents Jeremy Irwin and Deborah Bradley called the vigils “a spectacle, disturbing to their neighbors and disruptive, especially to their young sons.”
Lisa’s grandfather told KMBC that the family encourages people to keep praying for the missing girl and they do appreciate the sentiment behind the vigils.
“We’ve had such great response. That needs to continue until Lisa comes home,” Rick Irwin said.
