Justin Timberlake proved he was a man of his word Saturday when he attended the Basic School Instructor Battalion 236th Marine Corps Birthday Ball.
You might remember that over the summer Corporal Kelsey DeSantis posted a video on YouTube inviting Justin to the ball. DeSantis got the idea after Justin's “Friends with Benefit’s” co-star Mila Kunis got a similar invite. Justin gladly accepted the chance to attend the ball and is now calling the night a “life changing experience.”
Justin blogged about his night at the ball, writing, “I knew I would have an evening that I wouldn't forget...Something I could tell my friends about. What I didn't know was how moved I would be by the whole experience. ”
Like a true southern gentleman, Justin praised his De Santis for being a lovely date. Timberlake says DeSantis asked, “‘Are you ok?" two or three times. The A-Lister went on to say, "I have to tell you, it's not every day that I meet a 23 year old girl and she's more worried about if I'm having fun or if I'm comfortable."
The night took an emotional turn when a video played of Marines giving first hand accounts of Pearl Harbor, World War II and the September 11 terrorist attacks. Justin said he was almost brought to tears by the moment. “I felt so proud to be there. I felt like I was getting a chance to be among my heroes,” he wrote. Of course, the evening would not be complete without a little “Sexy Back. ” Justin confirmed he hit the dance floor before jetting out of town.
