Dr. Conrad Murray has a big decision to make about whether he will take the stand to tell his story of what happened to the King of Pop.
Before court recessed for the day Monday, Dr. Murray told the court he needed more time to discuss the matter with his attorneys. Judge Michael Pastor told Dr. Murray he must inform him of his decision Tuesday morning before testimony begins.
As Walgren emerged from the courtroom at the end of testimony Monday he received a round of applause from people standing in the hallway. It was likely a sign of appreciation for his intense questioning of Dr. White.
Walgren even caught Dr. White not following the judge’s order prohibiting him from making statements based on "off the record" conversations Dr. White had with Dr. Murray.
Dr. White's failure to heed the judge's order earned him a $1,000 fine.
Prosecutors have informed the court that they plan to call their expert Dr. Steven Shafer back to the stand for a brief rebuttal case.
The new timeline for the trial puts closing arguments possibly beginning as early as Thursday.
Testimony will resume Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. ET with Dr. White still on the stand.
