There’s a chance that Casey Anthony will have to stand trial once again.
The possible trial is scheduled for April 2012 and would revolve around a civil case against her.
Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, who claims she’s the individual that Anthony falsely accused of abducting her daughter Caylee in 2008, is suing the Tot Mom for defamation. The real Gonzalez claims that Anthony destroyed her reputation.
Anthony’s legal eagles, meanwhile, have contended that Gonzalez’s physical appearance doesn’t jibe with the description of the fictional kidnapper that Anthony gave to detectives.
Anthony will be deposed from a secret location on October 8 -- and the deposition could be videotaped -- but the tape and transcripts might be sealed from the public. Anthony’s lawyers plan on seeking a summary judgment in the case to have it dismissed before it could go to trial, CNN affiliate WFTV says.
Do you think Gonzalez has a solid case against Anthony? Feel free to weigh in with your comments!
